Marshall Pump Systems Limited designed and developed the PIB Pumper in response to demands from a number of blown film manufacturers wishing to produce stretch film on standard extruders. The objective has been to attain adequate PIB content for most commercial purposes without production difficulties and with only minimal modification to the extruder. These objectives have been successfully achieved and the PIB Pumper is now widely used and has many years of successful operating experience to prove its effectiveness and reliability.

The Pumper is capable of handling a wide range of PIB’s at temperatures from ambient to 100oC but most commonly the system is employed on PIB’s with a viscosity of 1000cps at an operating temperature of 90oC. Most applications require an open discharge into the hopper of the extruder but the Pumper will successfully deliver through the drilled centre of the extruder or into the barrel at up to 200 BAR.
