History

It was over 160 years ago that George Sumner established his engineering works in Oldham.  After the Second World War the Sumner rotary gear pump was designed and built and is still being used worldwide today.  This led to an interest in pump technology which resulted in the formation of Marshall Pump Systems Ltd in 1965.

Adding the CleanStream range of water treatment products and services in the 1980s along with the engineering facilities that George Sumner Ltd still has, meant a further diversification of interests and capabilities.

Now in its fourth generation of family ownership and operating from purpose built premises adjacent to the original site, Marshall Pumps has a unique place in the market and offers a range of products and services that few others can match.
